Cookie Policy
What a1.codes stores in your browser, why it is needed, how long it stays, and how to remove it.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser. They help maintain your sign-in session, checkout, and chosen settings across pages and visits.
We also use localStorage, your browser's local storage, to save your theme and information used to verify email sign-in. This policy covers both types of storage.
2. What we store
Cookies that support the service
- The account session keeps you signed in and connects your browser to your account.
- The guest session helps maintain access to orders placed without signing in.
- Checkout state keeps the selected product and information needed to continue payment or refresh the exchange rate.
- Service cookies help protect form submissions and complete sign-in checks.
Preferences
Cookies remember your selected language, card region, and payment currency. Your chosen light or dark theme is saved in localStorage.
Email sign-in information
localStorage saves the email you entered and the time when you can request another code. These values let us show your email on the verification screen and keep the resend countdown when you reload the page.
Optional analytics
With your consent, we use Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics to measure visits and traffic sources across all storefront pages, including sign-in, account, checkout, payment, and order/code access pages. Their scripts load only after you accept analytics. Providers may receive page addresses and titles, referrers, campaign parameters, and advertising click identifiers. Session replay (Webvisor) is disabled.
Your analytics choice is saved in localStorage for 180 days. You can accept or decline analytics, or change your choice through Analytics settings in the footer. Declining does not affect shopping. Withdrawing consent stops analytics in this browser and removes accessible first-party analytics cookies; it does not erase data already sent.
Service cookies and preference storage support the site and your choices. We do not use them for advertising profiles or tracking across other websites.
We also keep technical records of sessions and order actions to operate and protect the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle this data.
3. Third-party services
When using the payment or external sign-in methods available on the site, you may interact with other services:
- A payment provider may use its own cookies and similar technologies on its payment page or in its payment widget to process payments and prevent fraud.
- An external sign-in provider may use its own cookies when you choose to sign in through its service.
- After analytics consent, Google and Yandex may receive public page addresses, traffic-source parameters, browser/device information, and the IP address used to connect to their services. Analytics cookies identify visits. See Google's partner-site data policy and Yandex's privacy policy.
These providers describe their use of data in their own cookie and privacy policies.
Order links sent by email are handled by a1.codes. When you confirm access, the site may save the guest session described in this policy.
4. Managing browser data
Your browser settings let you block or remove cookies for a particular site. Blocking service cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, or access to your code.
To also remove your theme, saved email, and resend countdown, clear site data, including local storage. Removing cookies alone may not clear these records.
After clearing this data, you may need to sign in again, open the order link in your email, and choose your settings again. Clearing browser data does not delete your account or orders from the service.
5. How long data stays
| Data | Storage period |
|---|---|
| Account session | Up to 30 days; the cookie may be renewed as you use the site |
| Guest session | Up to 30 days |
| Checkout state | Up to one day from the time the total was calculated |
| Language, card region, and payment currency | Up to one year after the preference is saved or updated |
| Service cookies for security | For the browser session or an individual sign-in check |
| Analytics consent preference | 180 days |
| Google and Yandex analytics cookies | According to the provider's cookie settings and policy; accessible first-party cookies are removed when you withdraw consent |
Some cookies are removed earlier, such as when you sign out or finish checkout. Keeping checkout state does not extend the exchange rate lock — its remaining time is shown in the checkout countdown.
The localStorage entries for your theme, email, and resend time have no set expiry date. They stay between visits until you clear site data or your browser removes them under its own rules. New preferences and sign-in information replace previous values. The end of the countdown does not itself remove the saved entries.
6. Updates to this policy
We update this policy when the data stored in your browser, its purpose, or its storage period changes. The updated date at the top shows the latest revision.
Optional analytics starts only after consent. If we change its purpose or add advertising tools, we will update this policy and request the appropriate choice before use.
